Pertemps are working with an award-winning law firm, in Wiltshire, to hire a Contentious private client litigator to join their private client team. This firm has an excellent local reputation and are committed to meeting and exceeding their clients needs.
Key Responsibilities for a Contentious Private Client Litigator:
- Build and run a caseload of contentious probate and ToLATA cases.
- Dealing with Inheritance Act claims, challenges to the validity of Wills, Negligent Will drafting, executor duties, disputes between executors and trustees, substituting administrators.
- Dealing with Court of Protection disputes.
- Maintain proper diary systems i.e. court dates (where appropriate), limitation dates and timetables set by courts and manage clients through use of the diary.
- Undertake own advocacy at hearings where appropriate.
- Promote the Firm and the work of the Private Client team externally, with the aim of increasing the number of clients to the team and building relationships with external organisations, including referring organisations.
Experience of a Contentious Private Client Litigator:
- 2 years PQE.
- Experience in contentious probate including; lack of capacity, fraud, undue influence, subsequent revocation, and inheritance (Preferred).
- Experience in dispute resolution including; interpretation of wills, asset valuation, beneficiary disagreement, and mismanaged estates.
- Experience of ToTALA cases.

This role may require travel within Wiltshire, between firms. Therefore the successful Contentious private client Litigator will need access to their own transportation. Milage will be payable at £0.45 per mile.
