We are working with a fantastic client looking to strengthen and create an environment of Continuous Improvement throughout the business.
As part of their modernisation and investment program in the site, plant and machinery, they are looking for a proactive and hands-on Continuous Improvement engineer to hit the ground running to improve results, reduce waste and develop excellent relationships across the organisation.
The Role - Continuous Improvement Engineer
- Identifying opportunities to improve process performance, reduce waste, and cost
reduction
- Planning and executing projects using Continuous Improvement tools to improve
operational performance
- Monitor data from available systems to identify trends where continuous
improvement projects can deliver sustainable improvements
- Working to continuously improve processes, predominantly in the production
process but also across the organisation for example in Planning, Distribution,
Quality and Commercial functions
- Utilise statistical tools and lean principles to identify root causes and improve
processes
- Monitors progress of process improvements to ensure achievement of expected
tangible benefits
- Identify, develop and implement ongoing changes to existing SOPs and develop
new ones as required to achieve improved performance
- Implement mistake-proofing methods and develop workstation aids to assist in
operations job performance
- Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) projects
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Continuous Improvement Engineer
- Previous experience working as a Continuous Improvement Engineer
- Has a background working in a Manufacturing/engineering/industrial environment
- A process engineer or method engineer background is desirable
- Has to be able to work autonomously and hit the ground running
- A proactive individual with excellent communication skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Data analytical skills
- The ability to work with and influence operational colleagues
- Experienced in lean manufacturing
- Experienced in process mapping and identifying areas for improvement
- Proven track record of improving business processes and building team members
