We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Officer to join the Analytical Development & QC Team (ADQC). The purpose of this role is to support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities in ADQC such as identifying areas for improvement and implementing and managing improvement projects.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
- Support ongoing improvement projects by working with project team.
- Develop knowledge and skills in Continuous Improvement and project management areas.
- Develop technical skills in areas such as database management, programming, and Excel to support improvement initiatives.
- Work alongside members of ADQC to identify and implement improvements to OXB’s systems of work.
- Creation and maintenance of Excel-based spreadsheets (standard trackers, calculation templates).
We are looking for:
- Educated to degree level within Life Sciences or Information Technology (IT).
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- The ability to build relationships and cross collaborate
- Proven skills in critical thinking and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of project management and/or Continuous Improvement concepts
- Knowledge of additional industry-specific software (i.e. LIMS, SQL, Python) is preferred

Cell and gene therapy is the treatment of disease by the delivery of therapeutic genetic material (DNA or RNA), into a patient’s cells. One highly effective approach to delivering genetic information is to re-engineer existing viruses to be safe delivery vehicles (vectors) to insert the genetic material into patients’ cells.
