Matfen Estates is seeking a joint venture under a Contract Farming arrangement for a mixed livestock operation based at Halton Red House Farm, Corbridge.
The successful applicants will have both practical and managerial skills to take on the day-to-day management and operation of a mixed livestock enterprise, whilst diversifying into the tourism industry, to create a successful and productive farming business within the estate.
Excellent animal husbandry skills, attention to detail and a good business focus are essential.
Various Contract Farming arrangements will be considered, and a 3-bedroom farmhouse is available as the successful applicant's residence. There will be opportunities to expand the farming business, build up a share of the enterprise and diversify further by mutual agreement.
