Contract Fault Analysis Technician

My client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric motor technology in automotive, requires a Fault Analysis Technician for a contract role outside IR35.

The Fault Analysis Technician technician will be responsible for carrying out methodical, and structured investigations of faults reported in returned motors, under the instruction of engineers.

Responsibilities: 

• Undertaking the disassembly and examination of motors and components.
• Keeping accurate and thorough records of work and findings.
• Maintaining and creating simple test rigs and fixtures.
• Carrying out or assisting with tests and experiments, undertaken as part of fault investigations.
• Ensuring working areas are arranged and maintained in an orderly condition.
• Consistently reviewing working practices, environment, and equipment to recommend and implement improvements in the quality and efficiency of work. 

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a similar, relevant environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, precision engineering).
• Previous experience working in a practical, hands-on role and to be familiar with the use of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• The ability to construct simple test fixtures.
• Use of Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
