We have an opportunity for a Contract Manager to join us to support the delivery of our retrofit programme.
Based from either our Basingstoke or Greenham locations you'll combine a mix of home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.
The Role
Working with the Head of Client Services, and our Retrofit Programme Lead, the Contract Manager will proactively monitor and manage contracts to ensure they are performing and delivering in accordance with the terms and conditions, with the objective that SNG gains the full commercial benefit and value from the contractor, in the delivery of the Homes & Place retrofit programme.
Key accountabilities include:
- Delivering the right outcome for our customer in a safe and timely way
- Leading the Retrofit projects working with our external PAS2030 /2035 retrofit team.
- Setting and maintaining high levels of safe working practices for delivery of retrofit in line with Health and Safety legislation and CDM within contract management.
- Responsibility for all aspects of contract management delivery, performance and contract administration
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge and awareness of technical, statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements, standards and best practice in relation to delivery of specialised Contracts
- Ownership of data related to requirements under PAS2035 and the SHDF grant funding agreement.
- Accountability for financial aspects of retrofit project delivery, managing bills of quantity for contractor payments, providing accurate financial forecasting, and highlighting areas of concern where there may be the potential for budget overspends per project.
What we need from you:
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary contracts in a large and complex Housing Association, managing specialised contractors.
- Excellent demonstrable knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a social housing environment
- Proven track record of success in contract management
- Good practical knowledge of building regulations, codes of practice, PAS2030/2035, Trust Mark Standard, MCS and British Standards etc
- Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks to Sovereign
- Able to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress.
