Location - Remote, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire
We're supporting a UK based manufacturer and supplier of bespoke refractory solutions who have over three decades of experience here.
Due to a high-volume work, they are looking for a Contractor with SolidWorks experience to support them on an ad hoc basis.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Create 3D models in SolidWorks from client sketches, drawings, or photographs
- Create efficient and economic designs that are constructible
- Perform various engineering checks during each phase of the drafting process to ensure engineering design and detailing
- Create detailed technical drawings packs for manufacture
- Organize and maintain the project calculations
- Support in designing appropriate moulds, casting, or tooling
Experiences required
- Competent CAD 3D Modeller using SolidWorks
- Can create detailed technical drawing packs for manufacture
- Background in design for Tooling, Casting, Moulding or similar
- Able to create Thermal Calculations would be advantageous
- Educated or Time Served background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or similar
- Company to provide CAD capable workstation
- Company to provide SolidWorks 2023 license
