Spectrum IT's client are an emerging Data business who are growing due to continued investment and business success. They are now looking to hire a FULLY REMOTE Contract Technical Product Owner to join them on an initial 6-month contract. This is an Inside IR35 role and will require engagement via an Umbrella company.
Role:
- Guide the technical teams and help define Technical Product requirements of the business
- Focus on breaking down requirements into incremental values such as epics or stories and prioritise the backlog
- Work with product management team, architects, software designers, and technical engineers to ensure that needs feed into a coherent, deliverable roadmap that meets business and market requirements
- Ensure new product concepts get driven through initial proofs of concept over a pilot phase into the hands of the platform customers
- Liaise with product management to create innovative solutions for customer issues and bring these solutions to market
- Work with the QA team to ensure that all deliverables are of the necessary quality
- Support the product release cycle process and activities to ensure that the company deliver value to all users and clients
Experience:
- Have a a strong technical background and experience working on leading technology products. (Experience should including working alongside development, testing, technical analysis or product support areas)
- Hold technical knowledge with the ability to liaise with engineering and architecture teams
- Experience actively engaging with a team of developers to promote the vision of the product
- Have strong people and communication skills with the ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and explain them to non-technical employees, clearly, concisely and without jargon
- Have a working knowledge of the software development process with relevant experience in working with DevOps methodologies
- At least a basic knowledge of Agile principles and Lean software development
- Strong ability to work autonomously, with minimal guidance
- A good understanding of customer interactions and user journey on SaaS platforms and a passion for improving customer experience
- Good IT skills including:
- Atlassian; Jira and Confluence (must have)
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or Google Workspace (must have)
- Miro, Monday.com (nice to have)
