Form of workVenn Group's Legal team are seeking a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the South West.
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Organisation: South West based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months initial contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week maximum
Working Arrangement: Remote working
Hourly Rate: £55 - £60 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience
The ideal candidate for this position will have previously handled a varied Commercial Contracts caseload within Local Government.
Role duties may include:
- Providing advice to wider council including on organisational cost savings
- Providing senior legal representation on procurement issues including subsidy control advice and grant funding agreements
- Drafting contracts including consultancy, deeds of variation and commercial contracts
