Contracts Manager - 40K - Public Sector

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Contracts Manager to oversee contract management within our client's Public Sector organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing facility contracts and vendor relationships to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Public Sector procurement and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the negotiation and management of facility contracts, including maintenance agreements, service contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Public Sector procurement regulations and contractual terms and conditions.
• Evaluate vendor performance and implement corrective actions to maintain service quality and adherence to contract requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and procurement teams, to develop procurement strategies and optimize contract outcomes.
• Monitor contract performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management and oversight bodies.
• Stay informed of Public Sector procurement policies and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness in contract management.

Qualifications:

• Possess a degree-level qualification or level 6 qualification in a construction or procurement-related field. OR Possess a HND/HNC or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject in a construction or procurement-related field.
• Have at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience within a facilities/estates or contract management role.

OR

• Demonstrate at least 7 years' experience and evidence of delivering effective contract management within a public or private sector organization.
• Have demonstrable experience of delivering effective contract management within a large and multifunctional environment in 2 of the following 4 areas:


• High-value contract negotiations & specifications (£1m+).
• Supplier relationship management.
• Contract management procedure design & implementation.
• Using IT solutions to deliver effective contract management.
