They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Nottingham. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from initial contract negotiation to final delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects, from tendering and contract negotiation to project completion and handover.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and executed according to schedule and budget.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
- Manage contract variations and claims as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in contract management within the construction or engineering industry, preferably in the installation of industrial or commercial chimneys and exhaust systems.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
