Job description

As Contract Manager, you will be able to proactively manage your operations team to enable the effective running of a portfolio of client contracts in order to fulfil the client requirements within agreed financial parameters.

Building relationships with the rest of the management team and develop the regional Grounds Maintenance contracts within the Dorset/ South Hampshire area - covering all our services from Grounds maintenance, soft landscaping and Winter gritting.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To fully understand the needs of our business and each of your client’s contractual terms.
• To support in the evaluation, and implementation of service changes, managing any financial, people and Operational implications.
• Manage general work standards and financial performance targets on a monthly basis within agreed targets.
• Ensure compliance with and set an example to others in relation to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare job pricing in line with company expectations, whilst fulfilling the client’s needs.
• Communicate regularly and in person with clients in a professional manner effectively managing issues, offering innovations and additional services.
• To manage and motivate your teams, driving operational excellence and efficiencies where possible
• To assist with the effective recruitment and promotion of the right people within your area of responsibility
• To manage all performance matters in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and Procedures under guidance of your line manager.
• To undertake any other duties that may be required within your area of your responsibility.

Skills and experiences:

• Experience of corporate landscape management
• Practical experience in landscape maintenance
• A solid and practical understanding of the importance of health & safety at work
• A relevant horticultural / landscaping qualification would support your application but is not essential
