A position has arisen for a Contracts and Procurement Officer placed within a highly reputable organisation situated in Wiltshire. This role takes responsibility for preparing and undertaking procurement activities, managing supplier relationships and monitoring contractual performance for a contract length of 9 months with the possibility of an extension.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing reports and analysing statistical information on contract performance, spend and milestones centrally managed contracts
- Developing template documents and guidelines for employees to use and incorporate changes in line with legislation and national procurement initiatives in a timely manner
- Providing professional advice, guidance and support to employees and Leaders in all aspects of the role
- Ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date
- Developing and managing a medium to long-term procurement roadmap highlighting key and high value procurement activities in support of the Trusts procurement and contract management strategy
- Preparing tender documentation by liaising with relevant colleagues, budget holders and procurement framework bodies as required, including embedding key performance indicators (KPIs) and management terms
- Build and maintain third party relationships and monitor supplier performance against contractual terms and KPIs
- Liaising with colleagues and budget holders to check current status of contracts and informing management when service variations require contract change or increased/decreased spend or when contracts are dormant or no longer needed
- Ensuring supply chain risk is addressed when planning procurement activities with Trust and budget holders to help mitigate risk contractually and through supplier/contractors relationships
The successful candidate should have:
- Must have previous experience carrying out similar duties within the public sector
- Must have Purchasing and supply chain experience
