Location: Hybrid working with base at Stevenage
Starting Salary: £35,745 with the opportunity to progress to £39,186 per annum
Hours: 37 per week

The ITU delivers transport services including home to school transport and Adult Care Services ensuring passengers have access to a high quality, efficient journey.
Purpose of the role:
As a Contracts Transport Planner, you will be managing transport contracts for special educational needs and mainstream home to school, short stay provision, children looked after and day services.
Challenges and opportunities:
You will be responsible for procurement, management and reviewing transport provision on behalf of Children’s Services and Adult Care Services to ensure safe travel and cost effectiveness.
You will be accurately maintaining and updating database systems, and managing contract information.
You will be liaising effectively with clients, transport providers, user groups and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate and effective provision of services.
You will be resilient and ensure that the provision of services to customers is delivered in a sensitive and sympathetic manner.
Technical skills and qualifications required for the role:
You will be working in an environment where you will need to be reactive as well as proactive, and have excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
You will need to possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) to deal with a wide range of stakeholders, build strong working relationships, as well as working effectively under pressure, and adhering to deadlines.
Previous experience in contract management and customer experience is essential.
