SalaryControl Panel Design Engineer/Estimator | Dudley | Full Time – On Site | £40,000-£55,000
Founded in Dudley in 1983, our client is an electrical engineering company specialising in industrial/commercial electrical installations and the manufacture and design of Control Panels and systems.
The company operates on a nationwide basis and aims to provide a comprehensive service tailored to meet customer requirements. Their expertise in project management, design, manufacture and installation guarantees that they can deliver quality, reliability and value on all projects.
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced Control Panel/System Design Engineer looking to help drive the business forward. You will be required to sell, design, quote, organise, project manage through to build, installation, commissioning and handover at the existing successful Control Panel workshop, alongside assisting with the running of the shop floor.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- EPLAN would be an advantage
- Good understanding of PLC architecture
- Basic PLC programming is an advantage
- Understanding of ATEX / DSEAR regulations & specialist components would be an advantage
- Previous experience managing a busy workshop environment
- Determination to increase quality standards
- Good Communication skills
- Good document control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Computer literate Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Zoom
- Manage health & safety aspects at the production site and drive increased safety performance
What will your role look like?
- Driving both new and existing business, maximise income streams, expanding customer base, generating new enquiries and following through on all leads
- Production of Schematics, single line diagrams, scope of works, layouts, BOM`s, IO Lists and configurations
- All types of large and small bespoke Control Panels for varied industries
- Safety Circuit Design
