The role of the Control Room and CCTV Team Leader is an exciting and important new role for Stockport Homes Group (SHG) in the newly restructured CCTV Control Room. The role will take operational responsibility for the organisations CCTV service and 'Out of Hours’ response in the event of an emergency.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of operators that provide daily 24/7/365 monitoring of the public space and housing stock CCTV along with responding to fire alarm activations plus providing security for our customers, achieving the best outcomes for the public and our customers.

• Undertake these duties at evenings and weekends on a 4 on 4 off rota system supporting the delivery of a 24/7/365 service

• Co-ordinate duties during shifts including managing and planning the rota cover and taking responsibility for the allocation of work making operational decisions based upon resources and skills within the team.

• Be the first point of contact for escalated customer enquiries.

• Undertake all elements of staff management including 121s, values conversations, sickness, disciplinary, recruitment and selection and carry out induction training for new operators.

• Collaborate and work closely with partners to maximise resources and deliver shared outcomes.

• Provide full duties of an Emergency Control Room & CCTV Operator

• Support the CCTV & Emergency Planning Manager to embed policies and procedures ensuring they are effectively implemented.

• Assist with collating data for the CCTV & Emergency Planning Manager and Head of Service

• Undertake The team also support our Neighbourhoods and Safer Neighbourhoods services, by working pro-actively as One Team to keep tenants safe and secure.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Undertake these duties at evenings and weekends on a 4 on 4 off rota system supporting our role as 24/7/365 Service Provider

• Lead, manage and engage staff effectively.

• Use a range of IT packages including ASB case management system and Microsoft packages.

• Understand the current issues faced by social housing customers.

• Engage with staff and customers, building up good working relationships that are based on trust and respect.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.

• Build effective relationships with a wide range of agencies and partners

• Deal sensitively with complex problems and issues raised

• Demonstrate good organisation and time management skills.

• Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work using own initiative.

• Be able to obtain an SIA licence (facilitated by SHG)
