Control Room Manager - Utility Scale Solar

Astute’s Renewables team is retained by a business that offer a range of services such as asset management technical support, financial and legal services to Utility Scale Solar PV, Wind and BESS projects. With a strategic growth plan in place, a new and exciting new opportunity now exists for a Control Room Manager for its Bristol site.

The Control Room Manager role is the catalyst to maximising asset performance, the role comes with a salary up to �50,000, enhanced pension and private healthcare.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

� Line management of the Control Room team, conducting regular performance reviews and annual appraisals and setting annual goals and objectives aligning to performance expectations.

� Provide training inductions to all new Control Room personnel and Portfolio Management team.

� Develop, manage, and maintain processes and SOPs for all functions provided by the Control Room.

� Main escalation point for complex technical issues identified by the Control Room team and provide support to the Portfolio Management and Field Service teams.

� Continuously support and guide Control Room team with initial diagnostic of site events, priorities and following steps to remedy operational problems, tracking equipment issues and defects throughout the entire lifetime of the assets, and maintaining the site within the CMMS.

� Analyse monitoring data to identify current and historic long-term issues, faults and any patterns that may indicate irregularities with the installed equipment, and report to the Portfolio Management and Field Service team.

� Engage with SCADA providers to manage data inputs, scope of service, and deliverables, ensuring systems are set up correctly, specifically in relation to alarm management.

� Assist with monitoring system development and retrofits.

� Interpret and analyse technical data resulting from monitoring and ticketing systems, managing KPI deliverables.

� If required, visit company sites to carry out regular inspections of solar projects.

� Any other duties as required.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

� Engineering qualification – minimum level 3

� Experience with SCADA platforms, desirably on plant and equipment and solar.

� Experience with O&M faults remote diagnostic and resolutions.

� Interpretation of mechanical and electrical engineering drawings

� Experience in working with CMMS systems and MS office suite, Word, and advanced Excel l (e.g. able to develop and implement PivotTables, Lookups, etc.).

� Experience with O&M Data trend analysis and site improvements
