£50-60k + private health care + eligibility for bonus scheme after 6 months (up to 10% of salary)
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experience Control System Engineer with knowledge of the Siemens range of PLCs and associated packages.
Key aspects to the Control System Engineer role include;
- Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, classic Step-7, WinCC and Comfort HMIs (Control System Engineers with knowledge of Allen Bradley or Omron PLCs will also be considered).
- Write well-structured PLC software in accordance with pre-defined Function Design Specifications.
- Company is a small systems integrator, so the role comes with plenty of opportunity to shine whilst working on very interesting and challenging projects.
- Ideally have experience of using WinCC Comfort Panels or WinCC Unified.
- Must be able to read electrical drawings.
- Must be willing / able to go to customer sites across the UK to commission – typical duration 2-3 weeks, usually returning home at weekend.
- Carry out software code reviews.
- Culture/history of helping people further themselves academically and the role could see the person they hire take on Lead Engineer or managerial responsibilities in the future.
- Must be able to work within our ISO9001 quality system and follow procedures.
- Applicants with knowledge of machine safety would be considered favourably but this isn’t an essential requirement.

The role will be mainly office based and the clients’ offices are based on the West side of Birmingham and will be easily commutable from places such as Kingswinford, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Halesowen, Brierley Hill & Stourbridge.
