We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our clients Innovation team. Reporting to the Innovation Manager, this role is pivotal in designing Control Systems for new products, ensuring technical market leadership. The position could also involve worldwide travel to understand the processing industry and ensure the correct operation of machines in their environment.
Day to Day of the Role:- Design and specify system solutions for new products using proprietary equipment.
- Develop and implement control software to meet product specifications and safety standards.
- Create integrated 3rd party hardware solutions, including the required software.
- Conduct site trials, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, which may involve occasional worldwide travel.
- Monitor installed product performance, identify improvement areas, and suggest development means.
- Collaborate with Production and Service staff to ensure teamwork and integration.
- Set objectives and performance standards with the Innovation Manager and report on progress.
- Undertake additional tasks as requested and demonstrate flexibility to achieve company objectives.
- Proven experience in control system design and implementation.
- HNC / HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
