Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team.
The Electrical Control Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing electrical Control Systems for a broad range of packaging and process machinery. You will use AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for circuit designs, complete control system safety analysis using Sistema and write/develop machine software using Rockwell and Beckhoff.
Key role responsibilities include:
- Direct design work on customer projects.
- Attend specification meetings with customers, providing authoritative contributions regarding the Electrical design aspects of the project.
- Communicate with other design engineers (mechanical and electrical) on projects to ensure full coordination.
- Design Electrical Control Systems using the latest CAD software.
- Produce Bills of Materials using product lifecycle management software.
The successful Electrical Control Systems Engineer will need to hold a HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering (or similar) and have proven engineering experience in capital equipment, ideally with broad experience in packaging equipment.
You must have some experience designing electrical Control Systems (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN), have developed PLC code using Rockwell and written HMI code for operator interfaces using Rockwell or Zenon. Ideally you will also understand machinery directives such as UKCA, UL, AS3000, and/or CE marking regulations.
