Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be based in the Midlands and join supporting our activities within the Automotive Industry. Your day-to-day activities will involve hands-on engagement with heavy commercial vehicles, focusing designing, modelling and simulating Control Systems for Thermal Management. Based in the dynamic environment, your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will be:

· Analyse test data to validate and develop control algorithms.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Thermal Management solutions into vehicle systems.

· Develop and implement strategies for efficient heat dissipation, temperature regulation, and energy optimization.

· Conduct thorough simulations to predict and assess thermal performance under various operating conditions.

· Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Thermal Management technologies.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven experience of 3-8 years in Control Systems roles, preferably with an automotive background.

· Familiar with pressure drop calculations

· Exposure to vehicle testing and data acquisition tools.

· Ability to troubleshoot and debug Control Systems in real-world scenarios.

· Familiarity with standards and regulations related to Thermal Management in automotive applications.

· Understanding of Thermal Management systems in electric vehicles.

· Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink with regards to design, modelling and simulation.

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
