The Company:
A leading and global automotive supplier with a fully automated plant are looking to grow the team with the recruitment of a new Controls Engineer.
 

Salary:
Circa £50,000 - £60,000.
  
Skills & Experience

• Time Served or educated to a minimum of HNC level in a related discipline.
• Experience with PLC and HMI’s.
• Experience within a high-volume maintenance environment and knowledge of maintenance systems is desirable.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of the MIG welding and Spot-welding process is desirable.
• Knowledge of Robotic Welding (ABB/Yaskawa with SKS/Fronius) is desirable.
   

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the NPI team with the delivery of new assembly facilities across the UK Region.
• Agree control designs and approve drawings for new equipment.
• Fielding all supplier queries relating to controls.
• Attending supplier sites for machine status reviews/follow-up.
• Performing safety buy-off activities, both at the supplier site and the company site.
• Work closely with the plant Controls Engineers and supporting the facility handover to production.
• Drive the standardisation of equipment specifications across multiple sites.
• Research and development of new technologies.
