Reporting to the Business Risk Director, the Controls Reporting and MI Manager will be responsible for delivering and enhancing first line risk and Controls Reporting across HINV. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across HINV with stakeholders from multiple functions, also interfacing with teams across the wider HSBC group, to drive insightful and impactful risk and Controls Reporting.
They must possess a high level of energy and initiative and be capable of functioning as a collaborative partner and value-added business contributor. They must share the core values of HINV and be focused on achieving the best outcome for the organization versus individual achievement.
The Controls Reporting and MI Manager will be responsible for:
- Development and production of first line risk and control MI and reporting to various stakeholders across the business.
- Development and production of Board and Committee risk and control reporting.
- Development and enhancement of risk and control KRIs, KPIs and MI.
- Using analytical skills understand the themes within the control environment to drive insight and recommendations for control improvement.
- Coordinating and liaising with HSBC teams, being their HINV point of contact for controls MI and reporting.
- Supporting the Senior Business Risk Managers by providing regular and ad-hoc MI.
- Ensuring a strong partnership with the 2nd LoD is in place. Driving clear accountability for risk management.
Requirements
- Experience in risk management and reporting with the ability to operate across a broad array of stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical issues to stakeholders through Reporting and MI
- Good time management and attention to detail are critical to this position.
- Good analytical, research and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of requisite Microsoft Office applications
- Must be self-motivated, a team player, and be comfortable facing into senior executives, with good relationship and influencing skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and move fast, while maintaining close attention to detail
- Banking experience is not required for this role but would be beneficial.
