Are you an experienced Ranger with a passion for nature the great outdoors and a proven track record of working with communities in countryside and urban greenspace management?

Sheffield boasts a breadth of treasured greenspace across diverse landscapes including upland moorland, ancient woodlands, parks, grasslands, and wetlands. Increasingly known as the Outdoor City, Sheffield is one of the greenest cities in the country with 4130 Hectares of green space managed and maintained across 752 sites by the Parks and Countryside Service.

The communities of Sheffield are equally diverse and varying. Unlocking the value of local greenspace to the people that and involving the diverse range of people who live nearby in the active positive use and management and caring for these of greenspace is key.

We are seeking, 2 enthusiastic, and dynamic Rangers to be part of a small, but highly skilled Ranger service. The Ranger service works across the city and now have the opportunity to be part of delivering 2 exciting projects on key strategic (Urban) Countryside areas within the city. Day to day this role will see you balancing working outdoors in all weathers with developing and delivering practical conservation and engagement activities with people.

You should be innovative, flexible, and self-motivated with a true passion and enthusiasm for both nature and people.
