Conveyancing Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant

Kenilworth - up to £23,000 per annum

We are working with a well-established Lexcel and CQS accredited law firm, who are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary or an experienced Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their busy team based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

The firm offer excellent prospects, support and great training and development opportunities, with qualification via the SQE route facilitated and supported for eligible employees.

This is a full time permanent, office-based job, working 35 hours per week (9am to 5pm Monday-Friday). However, part time hours could be considered for the right candidate.

The role will involve:

• Dealing with, and assisting with running a busy conveyancing workload
• Ensuring all conveyancing transactions are handled in a professional manner
• Supporting and liaising with clients by telephone, face to face and by email
• Liaising with solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third party professionals
• Assisting the Conveyancing Lawyer with the day to day running a caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchase transactions, from instruction through to completion

Suitable candidates will have:

• A minimum of 12 months' conveyancing paralegal or conveyancing assistant experience
• Good communication skills
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• A willingness to contribute to the team, with a "can do" attitude
• A desire to forge a long term career in conveyancing
• Experience of using the Land Registry Portal and legal case management systems

The role is offered with a salary up to circa £23k depending on experience, and a range of benefits including:
