Look no further as a great opportunity has just become available! gap healthcare are currently on the lookout for passionate and motivated Cook to prepare and deliver nutritional meals for adults living within a Care Home environment. You will need a relevant qualification and experience of cooking for 60 covers per service.
As a Cook you will need enthusiasm for preparing meals and have imagination to create healthy and tasty menu choices.
- Salary - Between GBP26,000 - GBP30,000 per annum
- Hours - 42 hours per week
- Area Winsford, Cheshire.
- Full time permanent position
Responsibilities - Cook
- To be fully aware of and to comply with all instructions and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work and to recognise the responsibilities required under the relevant Health and Safety at Work legislation, including undertaking risk assessments where appropriate.
- Ensure that services are flexible to meet the particular demands of a residential establishment that is operational for 52 weeks of the year.
- Prepare and cook daily meals for up to 60 person s
- Create attractive and nutritional menu choices.
- Be responsible for ordering of food products and rotation of stock.
Skills Required - Cook

- Catering qualification(Desirable)
- Basic Food Hygiene certification
- Previous recent experience of working in a busy catering environment
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques and quality standards
- Knowledge of inventory and ordering methods and waste management
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage time to ensure deadlines are met
- Be able to commute to Winsford, Cheshire
