Job Overview:
We are currently looking for a Cook Manager to join our fantastic team at Chorlton High School. This is an exciting opportunity in leading our experienced and dynamic catering team.

The salary for this post is Grade 4, Scale Point 7. The working hours will be 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday during term time plus 5 INSET days. The pro-rata salary is £22,388 reflecting the working hours. The full-time equivalent salary is £24,294.

Main purpose of the job:

The Catering Team is responsible for delivering an outstanding catering service to our schools, supporting the Trust in its teaching and wider operations by ensuring students and staff are provided with excellent customer service and high quality, nutritious meals to support a healthy learning environment.

In this role, the post holder will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the catering service including management of the team, cash reconciliation and the completion of all financial returns.

Key relationship

The post holder will report to the Head of Catering and manage catering staff within the school. They will work closely with school leadership colleagues and catering colleagues across the Trust as well as external contractors.
