Cook x 2 - Bury St Edmunds
Summary

Hours: 0 hour role. Flexible shifts across the whole week, shifts will change week to week, on a monthly rota. Typical shift would be 8am - 4pm, hours are flexible. Ideally you would be available for 2 shifts a week, which could increase over peak season.

This role is a varied position and involves working within a small team, baking, running food service from the pass, assisting with event catering and working on our BBQ over summer.

The ideal candidate will be confident following recipes, batch cooking and willing to learn. Good team player and communicator.

Salary: £11.00 per hour

Duration: Fixed term contract - 31st October 24

Interview date: 15th, 20th, 22nd, 25th or 29th Feb or 3rd March 2024

Potential start date: Feb/March 2024

What you'll be doing
As a Cook, your focus will be in the kitchen, helping to prepare and present delicious food from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Your food will be served directly to visitors. Using the framework of our ‘National Trust Cookbook’, you’ll prepare, measure and mix ingredients. You’ll help with deliveries and with keeping the kitchen clean, to be compliant with health and safety legislation and to make sure that service runs smoothly. We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
