Job description

Join our client, a leading energy company committed to sustainable and innovative solutions. Their mission is to drive the transition to a greener, more efficient energy future. They are looking for a talented and motivated Copywriter to join their dynamic team and help them to communicate their vision and solutions to a diverse audience.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy. The ideal candidate will have a knack for crafting compelling and informative content that resonates with our target audience, including developers, architects, engineers, and homeowners. This role involves creating content for various platforms, including websites, marketing materials, and technical documents.

It is initially a six-month contract with potential to be extended. The role is a full time, 37 hours per week and a hybrid opportunity. You will be expected to be onsite two days a week for in person collaboration.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and write clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for a variety of mediums including websites, newsletters, and brochures.
  • Translate complex technical information into easily understandable and appealing content for different audiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute content strategies that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive landscape to inform and enhance content.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
  • Assist in the development of research and technical documentation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent experience within the relevant sector.
  • Experience of copywriting, preferably within the energy, construction, or technology sectors.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise, and engaging copy.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and the built environment.
  • Experience in writing for B2B audiences.
  • Knowledge of the new build and construction industry.
  • Experience of working with software such as the Adobe CS creative suite
  • Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia content creation.
