About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity in our team as a Copywriter within the Sensitive Operational Communication team, on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
As a Copywriter, you'll develop your skills, build on existing experience and gain valuable knowledge from one of the centres of excellence in Brands, Marketing and Experience.
Our team is in high demand to create and support the development of clear, engaging and empathetic customer communications in both verbal and written forms for all areas of the Group. This is because it’s never been so important to help our customers make effective and informed decisions, ensuring good financial choices are made.
You'll need to love a challenge, not get fazed by jargon, make the complex simple and have good attention to detail. With bags of initiative and the ability to work at pace, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers can make effective, timely and properly informed decisions during the ‘moments that matter’, like financial difficulty, bereavement and fraud.
As a Copywriter, you'll be:
  • Writing and/or reviewing content to make sure language is accessible, customer centric and inline with our Customer Communications Handbook.
  • Utilising customer research and insights to ensure messages are delivered in the best way.
  • Supporting our Copywriting Managers with fact finding activity. For example, working alongside communication owners and subject matter experts from within the business units to understand comms purpose, position in customer journey, treatment strategies, systems, data sources, and processes.
  • Undertaking adhoc reviews of content developed outside of our team, to offer advice and guidance on things like message hierarchy, scan stories, empathy, and simplification of complex messages. This may also include developing support tools to ensure high quality communications are consistently delivered, i.e. Word banks and best practice examples.
  • Ensuring our communications meet Group Standard's particularly the FCA legislated Consumer Duty, and that the correct governance is followed to ensure all communications acquire full and compliant sign off.
