Tutors Needed - Make a Difference for SEND/SEMH Students
Connex Education seeks experienced and caring tutors to provide one-on-one home tuition for Year 7 to Year 11 students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) in the Teesside area.
As a tutor you will:
- Develop engaging, tailored lesson plans in Core Subjects like English, math and science.
- Use evidence-based techniques to support students with SEND/SEMH
- Track progress and provide detailed updates to families.
- Build strong relationships and act as a mentor.
- Help students gain confidence and skills.
We require:
- Background in special education, psychology, or related field
- Proven experience tutoring SEND/SEMH students
- Knowledge of modifying curricula
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creativity, empathy, and passion for teaching
- Up-to-date enhanced DBS check
