We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated CCAB qualified individual to join the Council as Corporate Assurance Manager.
As the Council’s Chief Internal Auditor, you will provide an effective and efficient internal audit function providing assurance to management, Councillors and other stakeholders as to the effectiveness of the internal control, governance and risk management arrangements. You will ensure the service meets the requirements of the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards (PSIAS).
You will manage a small team executing a wide range of financial and operational reviews based on a risk management approach with support from our external provider.
You will actively promote probity and good governance, and lead on the development and implementation of our risk management and anti-fraud, bribery and corruption strategies.
You will also oversee the Council’s insurance function, managing the administration of the Council’s insurance policy renewals and claims handling activities.
