About the Corporate Business Development Manager Role

We have a new opportunity to join the UK’s number one vehicle leasing company as a Corporate Business Development Manager, where you’ll be responsible for identifying & originating relationships with the largest corporate fleet prospect opportunities.

This BDM role is primarily home based with travel required for face-to-face prospect meetings across the region.

Together with the leads you’ll self-generate, you’ll have access to the Group’s commercial banking client base to drive quality pipeline growth and develop long-term relationships with multiple partners within your prospective client organisations.

As Corporate Business Development Manager your responsibilities and duties will include:

Responsibilities and Activities you'll be involved in are:

  • Make a key contribution to the company’s corporate fleet growth, building sustainable relationships with prospects from our non-franchise database by exploring opportunities and engaging through a multi-channel approach.
  • Research and network to identify the best prospect opportunities in your region to grow the fleet through major new business client acquisitions
  • Develop innovative solutions to differentiate in the client’s view and reach a targeted conversion rate to achieve new business sales objectives
  • Deliver on planned volumes with the planned conversion rates for delivering new Sole Supply customer relationships >100 vehicles where we meet client needs for full service leasing
  • Be responsible for development of commercial terms to maximise profitable, sustainable business relationships, structure and manage effective P&L and concessions
  • Provide support and share best practice with colleagues on major deals or tender renewals

About You

Skills required for the Corporate BDM role:

We’re looking for an experienced vehicle leasing or Asset Finance professional who has previous experience originating new business with UK large corporates. You’ll need to demonstrate recent experience of working with corporate clients with vehicle fleet size of 100+.

It’s essential that you have/are:

  • Proven track record of signing contract hire / fleet management deals across both cars and Light Commercial Vehicles through self-generated prospecting
  • Experience in managing the customer relationship and have experience of negotiating with Senior / Board level executives
  • Comfortable dealing with customer partners in multiple departments
  • Strong financial and product foresight, and able to demonstrate knowledge of funding and fleet dynamics
  • Thrive on proactively finding prospects, identifying client needs & problems, communicating and closing deals
  • Comfortable using B2B social media as a channel to market, including targeted use of LinkedIn, using information, data & insight effectively
  • Have the intellectual capacity to identify critical customer factors and create a strategy to demonstrate that the company is the most suitable partner to work with.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including verbal and presentation.
  • High degree of commercial awareness and skill gained from extensive experience within the large corporate market place enabling the delivery of effective, profit maximising proposals
