The difference you will make as a Corporate Compliance & Assurance Manager:
The role holder will support the Group Head of Corporate Compliance and Assurance by day-to-day management of multiple strands of Corporate Compliance and Assurance across the Group. Through the timely delivery and sequencing of a range of assurance and scrutiny activities, the role will drive the adoption of good working practices to ensure the Group remains compliant, high performing and with good levels of assurance.  The role will work with a range of staff including the Senior Leadership Team and Executive.
The Corporate Compliance and Assurance Team within the Group’s Governance and Legal Directorate has been created to deliver a high quality, professional, customer-focussed Corporate Compliance and Assurance service to the Group. Leading by example, it will deliver a step-change in performance in its areas of responsibility with the objective of supporting delivery of the corporate plan and protecting the Group’s reputation.
About you
We are looking for someone with:

• Effective at engaging with and influencing colleagues.
• Able to clearly communicate in good time where there are conflicting priorities to achieving deadlines.
• Sound technical expertise in Corporate Compliance areas relevant to the Group including, for example, the Regulator of Social Housing’s regulatory standards, Anti Money Laundering, Anti-Fraud.

Role Profile
Corporate Compliance:

• To lead the [at least] annual assessment of compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s (RSH) regulatory standards and support preparations for In-Depth Assessments.
• Provide sound technical advice to the business on regulatory and compliance matters including but not limited to the RSH’s regulatory standards, law and legislation, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, probity.
• To keep a watching brief on emerging and new areas of Corporate Compliance and advise the Group Head of Corporate Compliance and Assurance and the Director of Governance and General Counsel of any actions that may need to be taken.
• Support managers in developing control frameworks that deliver compliance.
• Working with the Corporate Compliance & Assurance System Manager and Analyst and the wider business, to ensure that regulatory returns are complete, accurate and are submitted on time.
• Work proactively and constructively with business managers to help them understand compliance requirements in relation to corporate regulatory standards (excluding Health and Safety/Asset Compliance).
• Increase awareness of the business rationale for Corporate Compliance through regular engagement with managers and staff across the Group.
