Corporate Credit Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Credit Analyst to join our banking client in London. This is a front office role, to complete credit risk assessments, support marketing when necessary, and backup for local business relationship manager. Responsible for undertaking the credit and risk monitoring of the portfolio of Corporate Clients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of a borrower and providing recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk. They will conduct thorough analysis of financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow statements, assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing and annual due diligence. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing and annual due diligence.
• Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances.
• Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
• Keep up to date with the company’s lending protocols.
• Assign or update a rating as per the Credit Risk Management policy

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years within a credit role in a bank, ideally Corporate Credit
• Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment
• Strong understanding of credit requirements 
• Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts.
