The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.
It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.
In this role you will be:
Providing an effective and efficient support and administrative service to Corporate Development Senior Management Team (SMT), including full administrative support for meetings, inbox management, managing Teams channels and all associated databases and documentation.
You will be a point of contact and advice for internal and external enquiries, responding in an appropriate manner in order to allow the department to operate effectively and provide a high level of customer service including:
1- Provide administrative duties to Corporate Development SMT including arrangements for meetings; administration of agendas, briefing papers, minute taking, booking venues, receiving visitors, maintaining the filing system.
2- Respond to calls for service within Corporate Development and undertake support tasks to assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective service to stakeholders.
3- Maintain an overview of pertinent departmental issues and work being undertaken within the department to be able to respond to any queries in the absence of or on behalf of SMT.
4- Responsible for administering the Corporate Development procurement process and system, monitoring and ordering of stationery, equipment and furniture, printing and graphics. To process all orders, liaising with external suppliers regarding the servicing and fault logging of equipment and with finance to ensure payment is processed.
5- Administer recruitment processes and arrange induction and training courses on behalf of staff including negotiating with providers to obtain suitable discounts for course costs.
6- Develop and maintain appropriate filing, administrative and communication systems, in line with standard processes, to ensure documentation and information is readily available and tasks are completed on time and to budget.
7- Administer and maintain relevant departmental databases, ensuring data entries are in compliance with procedures and actions are updated.
8- Undertake various tasks within Corporate Development at the request of the SMT and produce identified outcomes within set timescales and minimal supervision.
9- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade and character of work as may be reasonably required, including specific duties of a similar or lesser graded post.
Skills & Experience
It is essential that the post holder:
1- Has proven and well evidenced interpersonal skills including an ability to be articulate, be discreet, diplomatic and polite and is creative and innovative.
2-Has proven and well evidenced experience of successfully working with administrative procedures and systems within a dynamic office environment.
3- Has proven and well evidenced experience of working with the minimum of supervision and has the ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing demands and priorities in a flexible and constructive manner.
4- Can cope with pressure, prioritising and planning work effectively.
5- Has proven and well evidenced skills of a good level of IT literacy, using Microsoft Windows based applications, including basic folder management and using Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and the internet, Microsoft 365 and Teams.
6- Has proven and well evidenced experience of good communication skills with the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with staff at all levels within and outside the organisation.
7- Has demonstrable experience of good problem-solving techniques that bring about performance improvement.
8- Has 5 GCSEs grade C or above (or equivalent) to include Maths and English.
