Senior Manager, Women's Centre and Service Delivery

Salary: £37,500 – £38,500

Location: Hull

Hours: 37 hours full-time or part time hours may be available.

The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our centres and contract delivery in Humberside and the East Riding.

Working closely with the Director of Services, your focus will be on achieving operational and strategic objectives to provide high-quality services and enhance policy and practices for women with experience in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

Role Summary

As Senior Manager, Women's Centre and Service Delivery you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our centres and contract delivery in Humberside and the East Riding. Working closely with the Director of Services, your focus will be on achieving operational and strategic objectives to provide high-quality services and enhance policy and practices for women with experience in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

Supported by a senior key worker, your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day management of our active women's centres and contract delivery partners across various locations, including Hull Women’s Centre, Hubs in Goole, Beverly, and Bridlington, as well as partnerships in Grimsby and Scunthorpe.

Managing a team of key workers, you will be responsible for ensuring women and girls receive an exceptional service from within a safe-women only space. Working alongside our statutory and non-statutory partners in Criminal Justice, Health and Social Care you will ensure the continued strategic development of the women centre and represent Together Women at local and regional level.

Additionally, your responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, fostering innovative initiatives, and ensuring the continuity of existing services through effective contract management. As a forward-thinking individual, you will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation as part of the senior management team. This entails submitting high-quality monitoring reports to funders, undertaking line management duties, and supporting the overall strategic vision of TW.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of all TW’s services and centres and embed TW values within delivery teams.
  • Manage TW Women’s Centre and Hubs, this includes Hull Centre, Goole, Beverly and Bridlington Hubs
  • Lead and manage contract delivery partners
  • Lead the development and management of effective service governance, quality assurance and auditing systems and policies and processes
  • Ensure that All TW policies and procedures, including safeguarding are implemented, overseeing appropriate staff training and support
  • Establish and maintain effective external partnerships, supporting TW to meet strategic and operational goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, delivery partners and wider stakeholders
  • Identify relevant funding opportunities and prepare funding applications in collaboration with the SLT, to support the long-term sustainability of existing and new services
  • Manage the operational budget, ensuring services operate within budgets and any variations are identified and reviewed
  • Lead on the development, implementation and management of TW’s monitoring and evaluation systems and processes to evidence need, reach and impact
  • Oversee performance management of services, ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements and quality standards, including maintaining quality marks
  • Oversee systems and processes for obtaining regular feedback from stakeholders, including beneficiaries, in order to inform and improve service delivery
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely reports to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Provide Senior Management support to all centres, hubs and services, including planning, implementation, management and evaluation
  • Oversee relationships with commissioners and funders, including identifying risks, and assessing and ensuring performance requirements are met
  • Strategic and operational oversight of staff recruitment and management, ensuring compliance with TW’s policies, procedures, quality standard and values
  • Demonstrate to staff that they are valued by TW, foster good working relationships across the organisation and build a fair and open management culture that is focussed on learning and development
  • Adopt a strategic approach to staff resourcing and management, planning for sufficient staff, with the skills and competencies, to provide high quality, trauma-informed services
  • Effectively manage a dispersed team ensuring team cohesion and consistency in delivery and approach
  • Line manage direct reports and ensure that all staff receive regular support, supervision and performance review, case management, training and development in line with TW policies and procedures
  • Hold responsibility for policies and procedures relating to service delivery in collaboration with the CEO and other senior managers

Role Requirements

Experience

  • Leading and managing service delivery in the charity sector, preferably services for women and/or in the criminal justice system.
  • Strategic and operational planning and implementing organisational change.
  • Delivering monitoring & evaluation systems and auditing service quality and performance.
  • Leading, motivating and developing staff and responding to complex staffing issues.
  • Embedding involvement of those using services in development, delivery and evaluation of services.
  • Developing and implementing best practice and strategies on equality, diversion and inclusion.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strategic planning and the ability to translate strategy into achievable goals
  • A solution-focused approach and the ability to make effective and timely decisions
  • Highly collaborative, flexible, diplomatic and assertive with good influencing/negotiation skills

  • Practical operation of performance and quality requirements in contracts
  • No specific qualifications are required, but evidence of recent continuing professional development relevant to the post is required, e.g. Coaching training and experience, Management and leadership; Quality systems; Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Able to work some evenings and weekends and stay overnight where necessary
