For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending June 2024 or later
  • 5 x GCSE’s at grade 4-9 (A*-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship
Please note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidence that they are equivalent.

In this role you will be responsible for contributing towards, and in some cases ownership of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability campaigns, projects and events to make sure these are embedded by facilitating delivery.
You will interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at various levels and facilitate change by helping others to understand how different roles fit within the strategy and how everyone’s contribution can impact the greater good. To be successful in this role, it is important that you are passionate about social and environmental change, and strive to role model ethical behaviour and values working towards the business’s Corporate Responsibility and sustainability goals.
Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Apprentices will gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills whilst working towards the Level 4 Apprenticeship standard in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
Key job responsibilities
You will be combining working in your assigned team as a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprentice whilst continuing your studies to achieve your qualification. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies.
You will build your skills over a 36-month period, starting in July. These skills will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge, on-the-job training at your Amazon base location, online learning as well as mentoring from our experienced team members.
As you progress through your apprenticeship you will become competent at:
  • Collaborating with teams to identify and execute sustainability strategies.
  • Conducting environmental and social impact assessments.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and support sustainability efforts.
  • Implementing sustainable business practices and monitoring progress.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sustainability reports.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments in Corporate Responsibility and sustainability.
  • Analysing data related to sustainability initiatives and trends.
In this program, you will acquire a deep understanding of Corporate Responsibility and sustainability strategies, mastering the development, implementation, and effective management of initiatives that promote ethical business conduct. A key focus lies in stakeholder engagement, where you will learn to build and nurture relationships with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to advance sustainability goals. The curriculum delves into environmental and social impact assessment, providing a comprehensive comprehension of how to assess and mitigate the environmental and social impact of corporate activities.
The programme emphasises sustainable business practices, guiding you in developing strategies to integrate sustainable practices seamlessly into the core operations of an organisation. Regulatory compliance is another crucial aspect covered, ensuring that you understand the legal and regulatory dimensions of Corporate Responsibility and sustainability, thereby fostering responsible business conduct. Additionally, the course equips you with proficiency in data management and reporting, utilising sustainability software and managing data related to Corporate Responsibility and sustainability initiatives. Through this comprehensive approach, you will be well-prepared to lead and contribute to sustainable and socially responsible business practices.

Your recruitment process will start with your online application. You’ll be asked to upload your CV, answer some questions that will help us to ensure your eligible for the programme and finally you’ll complete a short online assessment.
You will then be invited to complete a game-based assessment, to assess your suitability for an apprenticeship role at Amazon.
To get to know you beyond your CV, the next stage of the process will be our online evaluations. You’ll complete 3 video questions to tell us more about you, your motivations and any transferrable skills you have.
As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment centre where you’ll get the chance to meet the recruitment team and the hiring teams that align to the programme you have applied for. As part of the assessment centre, you may be expected to take part in a group exercise, a presentation, 1 to 1 interviews and other tasks relating to your chosen programme. After you’ve attended the assessment centre, the recruitment team will be in contact to confirm the outcome of your application.
