Job Title:Corporate Savings Platform Product Owner
Business Area: Workplace Platform, Insurance, Pensions & Investments
Salary: £101,932 - £185,876* depending on skills & experience.
Location: Edinburgh
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh office location.

The Workplace platform includes the Corporate Savings Platform (CSP) Lab and our Digital channels Labs for customers and employers which sit alongside our client management, new business, proposition and operation teams, working together as one platform team.
We're looking for a Lab Business Product Owner for our IP&I Workplace Platform CSP Lab who, in conjunction with our Head of Technical Delivery, will drive the delivery of changes to help our Pension members, advisers and employers. The platform now hosts Employer pensions with c20,000 pension schemes and c2.2M employee policies with assets in excess of £80bn, and we have ambitious growth targets.
The Lab Business Product Owner will shape the Product vision and roadmap and, with the Head of Technical Delivery, prioritise the backlog against customer and business value, working with the Lab teams to break down features into stories. You'll also help the Head of Technical Delivery and the 3rd party, FNZ, optimise the Ways of Working to drive efficiencies in delivering changes to the Products.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Own the Platform, Lab Objectives and Key Results which provide product performance and benefits realisation data.
  • Shape the Lab products vision and lead the roadmap.
  • Input into business 4YOP, customer plan and tech roadmap as required.
  • Define and prioritise Platform epics, features and stories which support Product strategy.
  • Ensure change compliance of overall Lab and accountability for product change governance, business readiness activities. (e.g. training and comms)
  • Build a capable leadership team while investing in workforce development.
  • Be a leader in the Platform with line management responsibilities for more junior Product Owners.
  • Support the Integrator in the development of dependencies across labs and platforms.

What you’ll need:
  • Product Ownership - Strong experience of Product Ownership to deliver platform backlog, ensuring quality performance and innovation to deliver successful products.
  • Workplace Savings (Pensions) domain knowledge - Have knowledge of the Workplace Savings domain. Understand key industry trends and how technology can be used to deliver for our customers.
  • Partner Management - Experienced in managing internal and external (3rd party) relationships and business sponsorship.
  • Customer Centricity - A customer and culture first approach. You’ll promote the value of customer outcomes with your team, anticipating customers’ needs and using customer inputs to present targeted, integrated, and outcome-focused solutions and opportunities.
  • Leadership & Culture - Experience building a high performing team environment. You'll inspire delivery whilst encouraging simplicity and developing confidence and trust. Understand the importance of organisational change in this space and work with the appropriate functions to facilitate this.
