Position: Cost Draftsman

Location: Manchester

Salary: £38,000 - £45000 & bonus/benefits
We are delighted to present this fantastic opportunity for an experienced law Cost Draftsman /costs specialist to join a successful, award winning firm in Manchester.
Role Overview
The role involves management of a caseload to include drafting schedules and bills of costs, negotiating settlement, dealing with costs budgets and preparation for cost hearings on predominantly multi track cases.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a costs specialist with the following experience/characteristics:

• Qualified solicitor, costs lawyer, CILEx or experienced non-qualified candidates considered.
• Proven experience handling your own caseload. The job requires someone who can predominantly work autonomously.
• Must have experience drafting cost schedules and bill of costs, costs budgets and all supplementary documention required in preparation for detailed assessment hearings.
• Previous experience of dealing with costs in personal injury/clinical negligence cases would be ideal, but those with experience in other areas will be considered.
• Ability to conduct own advocacy would be helpful (but not essential).
