Role: Costings Engineer
Reporting Structure: Directly report to the Commercial Manager.
Working Hours: Standard working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Location: Based in Glasgow.

What You ll Do:
- Assess Manufacturing Methods: Use your technical expertise to estimate timelines and costs for production methods.
- Customer Focus: Understand our customers' needs and figure out the best way to make things for them.
- Check Our Abilities: Assess if we have what it takes to meet customer demands.
- Decide What to Do: Collaborate with our Supply Chain team to decide if we should make things ourselves or buy them.
- Collaboration and Risk Assessment: Work closely with our Engineering & Operations teams to handle complex projects.
- Effective Communication: Communicate with our customers to deeply understand their needs and translate that into our bids.
- Bid Preparation: Gather all the necessary information and submit bids accurately and on time.
- Ensure Contractual Requirements: Understand and meet all the necessary rules and regulations.
- Key Role in Contract Review: Be a crucial part of the review process for contracts won.
- Review and Improve: Analyse past plans and find ways to make our bids better next time.
Skills & Attributes:
- Technical: Turn technical drawings into practical plans and cost estimates.
- Design Software Skills: Utilize software tools like Solid Works to determine the best production methods.
- Machinery Know-how: Deep understanding of precision machinery and wet processing.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand financial and business aspects.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Identify and solve issues proactively.
- Great Communication: Effectively convey information to different stakeholders.
