Costs Draftsperson/Manager

The Costs Draftsperson/Manager is a key role for our client, responsible for managing costs and drafting bills. The successful candidate will be based in our client's Manchester office and have a strong background in cost management and legal drafting.

Description

As a Costs Draftsperson/Manager you will:

• Manage your own caseload.
• Keep up to date with all aspects of the law relating to costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Take on work in a variety Personal Injury, Court of Protection, Commercial and Solicitor/Client matters, including;
  • Bills of Costs
  • Replies and/or Points of Dispute
  • Costs Budgets
  • Negotiations
  • Advices
• Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments
• Supporting the wider team with various administrative tasks as required

Profile

A successful Costs Draftsperson/Manager should have:

• Costs Lawyer (0-3 PQE), or a draftsperson with a minimum of 4 years' experience
• Strong expertise in costs work - particularly personal injury
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Robust understanding of the professional services industry and its regulations
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
