The Costs Draftsperson/Manager is a key role for our client, responsible for managing costs and drafting bills. The successful candidate will be based in our client's Manchester office and have a strong background in cost management and legal drafting.

Description
As a Costs Draftsperson/Manager you will:
- Manage your own caseload.
- Keep up to date with all aspects of the law relating to costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Take on work in a variety Personal Injury, Court of Protection, Commercial and Solicitor/Client matters, including;
- Bills of Costs
- Replies and/or Points of Dispute
- Costs Budgets
- Negotiations
- Advices
- Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments
- Supporting the wider team with various administrative tasks as required
Profile
A successful Costs Draftsperson/Manager should have:
- Costs Lawyer (0-3 PQE), or a draftsperson with a minimum of 4 years' experience
- Strong expertise in costs work - particularly personal injury
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Robust understanding of the professional services industry and its regulations
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
