Are you seeking a new challenge in the legal sector? An opportunity has arisen for a talented Cost Lawyer/Costs Draftsperson to join a leading law firm based in Liverpool.
Joining a dynamic team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting various legal departments, including Clinical Negligence, Court of Protection, Civil Liberties, General Litigation, Family, and Immigration.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a legal costs role, preferably with a focus on Claimants
- Strong ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks
- Proficiency with Cost Master and Proclaim software
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive and approachable attitude towards work
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering efficient and timely service to clients in line with departmental SLAs
- Independently managing a caseload from inception to completion
- Handling various tasks including preparing Bills of Costs, Costs Budgets, and conducting negotiations
- Striving to achieve personal and departmental KPIs
- Maintaining up-to-date legal and cost knowledge through CPD training
