Counsellor

Our clients are looking for counselling services for their analysts and taskforce who work within the organisations world-renowned hotline to grade and 'hash' images showing the sexual abuse of children.
The hashes of the images will provide the backbone to initiatives deployed by police and internet companies around the world. The team are subject to viewing highly disturbing images daily. They take the welfare of all their staff very seriously and provide mandatory monthly counselling to their people.
The Role
The organisation require the services of an individual (or named individual) within a company) to provide the following:
* Counselling, by a qualified counsellor, of around 10 -12 individual staff on a monthly basis; each session up to one hour in duration in person at the Cambridge office;
* Counselling support to non-Hotline staff on an "as required" basis;
* An annual report to the Deputy Chief Executive highlighting any key issues;
* Provision of any relevant research or best practice that will help us improve the processes;
* An expectation that any concerns about an individual staff member will be brought to the attention of the Deputy Chief Executive. This can be formalised on appointment.
The key areas of concern include but are not limited to:
* Flashbacks/PTSD type issues;
* Staff becoming burnt out by exposure to the quantity of images viewed;
* Staff becoming less resilient due to outside factors to IWF;
* Staff resilience as they adapt to new technologies and take on different types of images created .
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree of relevant experience;
* Value for money (not lowest cost);
* Demonstration of understanding the specific needs of the organisation.
