Job description

Title: Course Leader/Coach - Sports
About the Role
To support the course team; to plan and organise routine team operations and to ensure the efficient implementation of College policies and procedures in order to deliver the highest possible quality curriculum to students.
Main Responsibilities
  • Teaching to a contracted hours of 900 per annum, less any agreed remission for specific responsibilities or cohort numbers.
  • Staff Coordination - creating a positive climate and set high expectations for the course team in relation to standards of student achievement and the quality of teaching.
  • Course Management - ensure the development and maintenance of a course structure and schemes of work within the context of the organisation's guidelines and policy.
  • Coaching - Plan and follow a clear and transparent Football curriculum which meets the needs of the players at the centre
  • Quality Assurance
  • Learner Management
  • Resources - use accommodation and resources to create an effective and stimulating environment for learning and teaching.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
  • Course leader - Level 3 Sport Coaching and Development
  • Coach - minimum UEFA B level -
  • A formal teaching qualification at Level 4 or above
  • Experience of working in FE.
  • Experience of the post-16 age group.
