Randstad is currently seeking a committed and adaptable High School Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting schools in Blackburn. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a constructive learning atmosphere when regular teaching staff are unavailable.

Both short-term and long-term roles will be available, with assignments based on your location, qualifications, experience, and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Management:
• Supervise and oversee classes during teacher absences.
• Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Lesson Delivery:
• Present prepared lessons and materials provided by regular teaching staff.
• Support students as they engage with assigned tasks.
• Behaviour Management:
• Manage student behaviour and address any issues during lessons.
• Report significant incidents or concerns to appropriate school staff.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity in student's learning.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as necessary.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Complete any required administrative duties related to covering lessons.
• Assist with record-keeping and reporting as required.
