At LTE Group we have a great opportunity to join our education team as a Cover Supervisor for Novus Gower, our prison education provider atHMP/YOI Parc. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 40 hrs per week.
What the role entails
In this role, you will work with, and be supported by, our amazing team of dedicated professionals to mentor our learners to develop their education which will in turn help them to secure future employment opportunities post release. You will need patience, passion and understanding in your approach to our learners who want to learn and improve. You will be expected to deliver pre-planned work and supervise prisoners on a range of activities related to a number of subject areas with a strong emphasis on Literacy, numeracy and ICT.
What we need from you
To be successful in the role Cover Supervisor, you will need:
- Subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain a qualification within a specified time scale (required)
- Relevant professional experience PGCE/PCET or working towards
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Experience of instructing/supporting people with challenging behavior
