Prospero Teaching are working closely with a secondary school in Cardiff who are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is ambitious and has an excellent work ethic to join their team from September 2024. The school has a very positive outlook and a "can/do" approach amongst staff and students. A strong learning culture is evident because there is an acknowledgement that they are all learners, and they can all improve.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status
- Graduate status, with appropriate levels of attainment and qualifications in PE
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the PE curriculum and related pedagogy
- Ability to teach PE to KS3 and KS4
- Proven track record as a highly effective classroom teacher
- Proven track record of high-quality outcomes at classroom and or faculty level
- Leadership skills appropriate to the lead role in the delivery of PE
- A passionate interest in all aspects of the subject
- An interest in promoting the subject outside the classroom
- Highly professional standards in the classroom and when working with colleagues

• Location - Cardiff
• Position - PE Teacher
• Type of work - Supply Teacher
• Start date - September 2024
• Duration / Likely Duration - Long term, with the potential for extension depending on school
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on schools needs
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £158
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
