Your new role
Weare looking for a Cover Supervisor to join the school on a part-time basis.This is a varied role, working across all departments to provide support tostudents in the absence of their usual class teacher.
The successful applicant will oversee full classes across both KS3 and KS4, ensuring pre-planned schedules of work are completed and behaviour is maintained. No two days will be the same, so flexibility and willingness to adapt are a must for this role.
Asa member of staff within the school, you will ultimately be a role model forall students, and will take on the schools policies, ethos and standards at alltimes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone considering a career inteaching, or for someone who has experience in managing groups within anothersetting e.g. Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Scouts Leader etc.
Theschool are looking for someone who is dependable and will provide consistencyto their students, taking the time to build strong working relationships withthem in order to excite and inspire their young minds. This role will requirebehaviour management skills, but the rewards of working in this developingenvironment will far outweigh the input. Autonomy is one of the many results ofa creative approach in this school, and there is a lot of scope forprogression, with the vast majority of senior leadership having started theircareer at the school. We are also open to ECT applications.
What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will need to have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• OR have experience as a cover supervisor
• A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• A positive and professional attitude to their work
• A passion for teaching and learning
• Cultural awareness
• Flexibility and an adaptable approach
