* Job Title: Forensic CPN
* Band 6
* Location: South East London
* Duration: 3 months
* Schedule: 9-5 Monday to Friday
* Start Date: ASAP
* Rate of pay: £25 - £27 p/h umbrella days
* Must holder a Valid Full UK Drivers License
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Forensic Mental Health Nurse to provide specialized care to individuals with mental health needs within the forensic setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and a commitment to promoting recovery and rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for individuals within the forensic mental health system, including those in correctional facilities and forensic psychiatric hospitals.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
* Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment regimens.
* Conduct therapeutic interventions and facilitate group therapy sessions to support patients in developing coping skills and addressing underlying mental health issues.
* Coordinate discharge planning and transition services to facilitate successful reintegration into the community.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and qualifications required for this role:
* Current and valid registration with the NMC.
* Proven experience within a Forensic Service.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
